After nine weeks in a cast I got my boot today!  Praise God!  I have been so nervous about everything.  I fell two weeks ago and then proceeded to worry about that; then I worried that fusion may not occur, then you worry about pains you feel. Its a horrible thing to have way to much time and want to get on with your life, but can't.

Yes it is mighty ugly :(

Nine weeks of a cast the leg does't look so pretty.  It is still swollen and numb.  Doctor is happy :)

I am super happy to be able to swim again!  Hoping this helps with swelling, getting the feeling back in my foot and mentally get me on the road to full healing.  Dino said, "It was like telling me you can not hunt for nine weeks."  So I guess he gets it.  I still can not drive.   Grateful to Barb who has filled in with driving when Dino can't.

Please keep praying for me.  There still is a long road ahead for me.  Thanks

PS.  Hope you all are doing great!

September 2, 2015

It has been a month since I last posted.  I started back to work three weeks ago; and that is going pretty well.  Dino still has to drive me since this is my right foot and I still to this day cannot feel my toes.  I am reminded:“Even to your old age and gray hairs, I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.”
Isaiah 46:4
God's tender care for his people lasts from their infancy, through their boyhood and manhood, to their old age. The everlasting arms never weary. God's watchfulness, his providence, his protection, never fail. I have made, and I will bear. The maker of a thing has naturally regard to what he has made, loves it, desires its good, seeks to defend and save it.
I have needed these words of encouragement.   It is extremely humbling to ask and need  so much help for your everyday existence.  I have been blessed with a man  who has shown his love and patience .    I thank God everyday that I have Dino in my life.    This has been quite a journey.  And  we have a long way to go.  But I am confidant that I will make it.
I had my second post operation checkup today.  Dr. Raines said its coming along.
But I had to be casted for yet another 3 weeks.  This is normal considering what he had to do to fix my ankle.  He said, "you have had three procedures that you body is trying to heal Robin". I want to get back into that pool!!!!  That is NOT going to happen for some time :(

There it is!  Dino and I could feel the medal through the front of my foot, just under the skin.  The foot is straight and the ankle bone that use to stick out doesn't do that anymore.  It looks normal!  Still swelling and such, but she looks pretty darn sexy :)  lol
I have an orange cast on now for the Bengal season.  I need to paint some black stripes to complete the look.  Thank you to Barb who has filled in to do some driving, thank you to Jacqui for just tolerating me, and thank you to those who have been praying for me.  Please continue to pray for nerve healing, fusion, and pain reduction. I go back in three weeks.  Until then:  Hope you all are doing great!
