Had a doctors appointment today.  13 weeks post operation and I have graduated from boot to shoe with shoe brace.

                              

I have to learn how to walk again after 30 years of walking wrong.  Just like 4 weeks ago going to boot, I have to use the crutch and have some pain.  He basically said I am healed!  I am to email him in three weeks to tell him how I am doing, then go see him in January!  Hot dog baby.

I am trying not to get down on the fact that I am extremely slow and a big baby when it comes to these transitions.  Jacqui and Dino basically pay no attention to my neediness and encourage me to get it on!  I am beginning to believe there may be an end to this madness.  I want to thank all for praying and loving on me during this pathetic time in my life.  

I still can not feel most of my foot, which he said in NORMAL.  So please continue to pray for swelling and nerve healing.  Thanks for reading......I will post again with video when I can really walk.

Today was a good day!!  Thanking Jesus for everyday of healing.  It has been three long months since my operation.  I must admit it has not been a fun journey.  But when ever I get down and think I could not possible go on, I get the most unexpected encouragement.  Special thanks to my friends at the YMCA, Barb, Brenda, Chris, Joan, Charles, Carol, Sadie and Steve.  From lunch outings, rides, trips to creamy whip, or a kind card in the mail, I have been blessed with some of the most wonderful people.  It has been a humbling and most unexpected experience.  Who am I to receive such kindness?  This is not to exclude the kind text and calls from others.  I owe Dino big!

Today is exactly three months, and I woke up put my leg on (boot) and got the dogs out and let Dino sleep in.  He was very happy :)  I can walk about 20 steps without a crutch.  If you asked me three weeks ago if I was going to be able (like the doctor wanted) to walk into my appointment next week I would have told you NO way.

Mind you, I still cannot feel my big toe.  This has bothered my from the beginning, and I pray that comes back soon or I may snap!  I have a long haul, but I believe I have turned the corner.  Praise God!  I will let you know how the Doctors appointment goes next week.  Thanks again for your prayers, keep praying!!!!  Hope you all are doing great!!

PS  Dino and I celebrated our 30th anniversary Sept, 28th.  The real celebration will happen when I am fully healed!!
